The Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti has successfully organized a training activity titled “Strategic Multivariate Analysis: Implementation of SEM-PLS in Industrial Engineering Research” on February 14, 2026, at Building F & G, 7th Floor, TSC Room. The event was conducted smoothly and attended by participants consisting of lecturers and students.

The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the application of the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method in research, particularly in the field of industrial engineering. This method is widely used in multivariate analysis to model relationships between variables in both academic and applied research.

The training was divided into two main sessions. In the first session, participants received material on Strategic Modeling & Framework delivered by Dr. Dian Mardi Safitri. In this session, participants were introduced to the basic concepts of strategic modeling and how to develop an appropriate research framework using the SEM-PLS approach.

In the second session, participants attended the Data Processing and Interpretation session presented by Dr. I Gusti Made Teddy Pradana. During this session, participants practiced directly how to process data using the SmartPLS software and learned how to interpret the analysis results properly to support scientific research.

Throughout the activity, participants showed high enthusiasm by actively engaging in discussions and participating in hands-on data analysis practice. With a limited number of participants, the training could be conducted more interactively, making it easier for participants to understand the material presented.

Through this activity, the Master’s Program in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti hopes to continue supporting the improvement of academic competence and research methodology for students, lecturers, and researchers who wish to deepen their knowledge of multivariate analysis using the SEM-PLS approach.

This training is also part of Universitas Trisakti’s commitment to encouraging the development of high-quality research that is relevant to industrial needs and the advancement of knowledge.
